Capabilities

DOMAX Engineering specialises in precision NC machining, production welding and light fabrication, but also has a reliable network of suppliers to allow us to cater for your complete general engineering requirements. Our network of companies allow us to provide the services of heat treatment, surface grinding, plating and anodising. We focus on small batch to production runs but can produce 1 off special components when required.

NC machining capability includes:

CNC Lathes:

Capableof handling material sizes from Ø6 to Ø250, up to 350 between centres,through bore bar work to Ø64 with speeds to 5,000 rpm

2 x Okuma LB15 CNC lathes
1 x Mazak Quickturn 15N CNC lathe
1 x Daewoo Lynx 210 CNC lathe with IEMCA Bar Feeder

Vertical Machining Centres:

Machining centre beds to 1020 x 520 with 630 vertical travel, speed to 8,000 rpm

1 x Hartford Omnis Vertical Machining Centre 1020

1 x Bridgeport Vertical Machining Centre 560

Welding Capability includes:

GMA/ MIG or MMAW / Stick welding of mild steel production parts using jigs and light fabrication of equipment or structural pieces to customer specifications. Oxy and TIG welding also available.

General Engineering Equipment includes:

Automaticbandsaws, Manual bandsaw, Coldsaw, Ficep universal cropping machine, Centre lathe, Drill presses, Hydraulic presses, McPherson Press
